The holidays are a time for self reflection, food, and family – and maybe a few drinks 😉 Over the years, I’ve transitioned from wanting tons of gifts to enjoying giving them. Probably just a part of growing up.
I’m going to use the time off from my day job to work on getting my eBay piles back into order, and if you’re wondering, no, it isn’t too late to list that Christmas item!
I’ll be on a blog break until the new year, so until then, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
We’re having family over for a few days, and I’m really looking forward to my 3 year old getting to come downstairs on Christmas morning. All she asked Santa for this year was a lollipop! During her photos with Santa, he said “I think we can do that!”
The Holidays are here! Is it too late to list Christmas items?
It’s never too late to list something! Don’t worry if you have some Christmas items that you haven’t gotten to list yet. Getting them up onto eBay is the most important part. Better late than never.
People buy Christmas stuff all year long. I’m a big believer in List It and Forget It (LIFI). My end listing/sell similar experiment still hasn’t had any impact, but I’ll be sure to update if something from those 15 items does sell. It’s just making me annoyed that I wasted any time on that. At least for now, I know that I won’t be spending any more time on my older listings. And that is the point of an expirement. Get some real data on whether things work or not.
Christmas Themed Flips of Years Past
If you’re in the holiday spirits, check out some of my Christmas themed flips – and FYI – none of these sold in December!
- Ugly Christmas Sweater – Sold October 2013 (Listed in October)
- Christmas Dimensions Santa Stocking – Did an auction on this one! Started on on December 14th with no bids. Re-listed it on December 31st, and it sold on January 7th!
- Electronic Chirping Ornaments – Sold October 2013 (listed in May)
Let’s just say that I sell Christmas things all year round, but it’s definitely stronger in the 3rd and 4th quarters.
I was able to look back through my e-mails and see when any Christmas themed ones sold.
This just adds to my LIFI belief. If you’re looking for a lesson, it’s that you can sell Christmas things all year long, even if it’s not close to the holidays. The only way that can happen is if you list it!
I hope everyone gets a nice relaxing time over the holidays. I’m going to be taking a break for the rest of the year, and we’ll start off 2016 with a write-up of how 2015 went and what we’re going to do different in 2016!
